Guide to Heating Tents

Weddings are more and more moving away from summer dates and more regularly being scheduled for fall months such as September and October. The advantage of having a fall wedding is that you have the beautiful foliage and temperatures that can be more comfortable for your guests. The disadvantage for us here in the northeast is that fall can be blistering hot, freezing cold and snowy or anywhere in between. For days that happen to be especially chilly, we offer tent heaters of various sizes to make sure you and your guests stay as comfortable as possible! This page will teach you the basics about heating tents.

The size of your tent will determine how many (and how big) heaters you will need. The temperature outside on the day of the event will determine how many propane tanks you need.

All of the heaters require at least (1) 100lb propane tank, but especially cold days will require more propane to get the heat levels to rise to where you want them to be.

After you decide that you need a heater for your event, you will need to make sure your tent rental is completely enclosed with walls, otherwise all of your heat will escape. The heaters function by being placed outside of the tent (along with the propane tanks) and having a duct that is placed under the walls of the tent that allows for the heat to be pumped in. The heaters do require power so if you are having your event in a remote location without an outlet within 100 feet, you will need to rent or provide a generator. Temperatures can be adjusted by a remote thermostat that is placed inside of the tent.

So as you can see heating tents is quite easy and also much less expensive than cooling tent.
